Transforming Hearts by Love, Faith, and Evangelism!

Our Vision

To transform hearts by love, faith, and evangelism, we must work to keep one another Connected, Encouraged, and Informed.

  • Connected: Connected to God and connected to one another by going outside of our spiritual and physical walls to meet the needs of the members and the global community by providing ministry that is radically hospitable, reflects passionate worship, encourages intentional faith development, provokes risk-taking mission and service, and inspires generous giving.

  • Encouraged: Encouraged by the word of God and by members of the body of believers using innovative means including technology for worship, preaching and teaching that will interest, attract, and empower people to cultivate and live a lifestyle pleasing to God.

  • Informed: Informed by preaching and teaching the biblical principles that help disciples to live a life that will help foster Christian values and lifestyle and informed on the current events affecting the community-at-large.

OUR  MISSION

The mission of St. Paul and The African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church is to increase our love for God and to help meet the needs of humankind by “Loving God with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all our mind, and to love our neighbor as ourselves” (Luke 10:27). Implicit in this statement is the belief that the church should have a positive relationship to God vertically, and a positive relationship to humankind horizontally. Therefore, we love God and are obedient to His commandments and loyal to all for which He and His Kingdom stand.

We also share in the mission of His Son Jesus Christ, in “healing the sick, helping the blind to receive sight, the lame to walk, the leper to be cleansed, the deaf to hear, the dead to be raised, and the poor to have the Good News preached to them” (Luke 4:18).

We actualize this mission by praising God, being obedient to the demands of the Gospel, telling the story of God’s gracious acts in creating and redeeming the world, inviting persons to commit their lives to Jesus Christ, and serving as ministers of God’s liberating and reconciling grace (AMEZ, 2008).
